AVCASA Plant Science Course

The AVCASA course will be offered as a Short Learning Programme through UNISA as from 2010 and the evaluation and exams will be conducted differently than in the past. This is a one-module correspondence course consisting of eight units with five assignments, followed by final examination and certification. All sales personnel of CropLife SA and ACDASA are required to pass this course in order to be allowed to give advice and sell our crop protection products. However the course is open to anyone wishing to learn more about crop protection and the products used in the Industry.

Those people with outstanding Modules from the original course are strongly advised to complete them by May 2010 with AVCASA.

Responsible Use Training Course

Through this course, stewardship and sustainable agriculture are promoted by addressing issues such as Integrated Pest Management (IPM), container management and disposal of obsolete stocks. This also contributes towards the Good Agricultural Practice as required by GlobalGap as well as the upliftment of small-scale/emerging farmers and to the protection of the environment.

Aerial Applicators Course

The only course for aerial applicators recognized by the Department of Agriculture (DoA) and Civil Aviation.
